ARTIST STATEMENT

Barbara’s love of people and humor of life is expressed in her art.

She captures the whimsy of folks experiencing exciting moments

& a musician bent to the bow. Her joy of sharing music, nature and

Beauty seen daily is expressed in quick, bold spontaneous sketches

& watercolor paintings sometimes enhanced by ink. The variety

Of locations from which she has painted is equaled by the various

Techniques used to explore her art. She has earned ribbons exhibiting

in watercolor, alcohol ink, mixed media, and pen & ink.

RESUME

Barbara is a juried member of the Swampscott Art Association,

Marblehead Art Association, SalemARTS, LynnARTS, and the

Rockport Art Association. She is a former Director and present

Chair of Crafts of the Marblehead Festival of Arts, and the winner

Of their 1997 LOGO contest.
